Overview of The CCC Delegate Process

The CCC membership is made up of, at-large, delegates from the community as well as delegates from qualified civic organizations. The many organizations currently sending delegates to the CCC are: The Democratic Club, Freeman Gardens Association, Friends of the Glen Ridge Library, The Glen Ridge Athletic Association, The Glen Ridge Historical Society,The South End Association and the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge.

Once selected, delegates act and serve as independent community representatives. Please refer to the CCC Constitution for specific requirements and qualifications for organizations and delegates.

2010 – 2011 Officers

Chair – Caren Pennington

Caren Nelson Pennington, a delegate from the South End Association, is from Glen Ridge originally and returned about seven years ago. She and her husband Tom Pennington have two boys who attend Ridgewood and Linden. Caren is a securities lawyer and the chief compliance officer of Trilogy Capital, LLC.

Vice Chair – Ed Rowley

Ed heads communications for an investment management firm. Originally from Louisiana, Ed and his wife Laura have lived in Glen Ridge for five years and have three sons who attend Ridgewood, Linden and Pilgrim. Ed also coaches GRAA soccer.

Jennifer Santamaria – Secretary

Jennifer is new to the CCC as well as to Glen Ridge. She moved to Glen Ridge when she got married in 2008. Her and her husband, Joe, have one son, Anthony, who attends daycare at the Nursery School of Christ Church.

John Baker – Finance/Treasurer

John Baker is a finance professional. He and his wife, Claudia, moved to Glen Ridge in 2008 from California. John is a member of the Glen Ridge Historical Society and a delegate of the CCC, and works to support the heritage and history of Glen Ridge.

Scott Rosenberg – Communications Chair

Scott, his wife Carolee, and their two boys (3 and 5) moved to Glen Ridge three years ago from Montclair. They love Glen Ridge and have been looking for ways to get more involved, whether through the CCC, coaching of sports teams, or volunteering at the schools. Scott runs a venture-backed startup in NYC.
